Study in the United Kingdom
Globally recognised universities, shorter degrees and a large Bangladeshi community. We guide you through admission, your CAS, funds and the visa interview.
The UK is home to some of the world’s best-known universities. Many students choose it for the reputation of its degrees, the shorter length of master’s programmes and the chance to build a global network. It is also one of the most expensive destinations, so careful planning matters.
Who this route suits
- Students who want a globally recognised degree
- Postgraduate students who prefer a one-year master’s
- Students with a clear budget and a strong academic profile
- Students planning for the post-study Graduate route
How the UK Student visa process works
- Choose your course and university and apply with your documents and SOP.
- Receive your offer and CAS. After you accept, the university issues a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.
- Show your funds. UK rules generally require your maintenance funds to be held for at least 28 consecutive days before you apply.
- Complete health and clearance steps. This can include a tuberculosis test and, for some postgraduate subjects, an ATAS certificate.
- Apply for the visa and attend biometrics, then prepare for any interview.
Usual timeline
From first consultation to arrival, plan for about 2 to 4 months. The visa decision itself is typically around three weeks for standard applications, but offers, funds and tests take time. Rules and processing times change.
